Bannockburn, IL – November 1, 2016 – DeLaval Inc. recently announced the release of DelPro™ 5.1 Herd Management Software, a significant advancement of the company’s flagship software platform. DelPro 5.1 is the first version that provides full-solution herd management to both robotic Voluntary Milking Systems (VMS®) and DeLaval parlors. Its ability to provide consistency across both robotic and conventional parlors is complemented by its scalability to any herd size. The software may be customized to run all milking, ID, activity, feeding and sort gate systems. It also delivers visual graphing of a dairy’s adherence to their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and generates action-based reports based on a producer’s criteria.

BANNOCKBURN, IL (October 5, 2016) – TDI Farms LLC of Westphalia, MI has signed an agreement to purchase 24 DeLaval Voluntary Milking System (VMS™) robots citing advantages in animal welfare, employee development and the farm’s longevity as main catalysts for the project. Owners Frank, Paul and Bryant Treirweiler expect to milk 1,500 cows at the new site.
BANNOCKBURN, IL (October 5, 2016) – DeLaval Inc. announced today that five teat dips and six clean-in-place (CIP) detergents have been listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). Tri-Fender, Della Care Enhanced, Bovadine, Prima and Blockade dips as well as Dairy Cycle 3, Della Super Liquid, Della Supreme, Prime D, Ridstone, and Zone III detergents were added to OMRI’s list of products approved for use in certified organic food production.

BANNOCKBURN, IL (August 8, 2016) Dr. Michael Brouk, a professor at Kansas State University, has chosen to work with DeLaval during his one- year working sabbatical as an advisor to the company’s Dairy Management Advisory Team in North America, addressing automated milking concerns for large herds. He will consult on matters such as facility design with regards to heat abatement, cow comfort and cow flow. He will also explore additional ways to utilize data captured by the Voluntary Milking System (VMS™) to improve dairy cow management. His sabbatical with DeLaval will last until June 1, 2017.
